Rebuilding a Team Culture

A team was experiencing building tensions and developing silos. Historically, personal relationships had influenced where and how collaboration happened, leading to misunderstandings and a fragmented team dynamic. With the addition of some new team members after a recent restructure, the leader saw an opportunity to reshape the culture to align with shared values and improve overall team cohesion.

Our Approach

We met with the leader to understand the team’s dynamics and goals, recognizing the need to bridge gaps between long-standing and new members.

With this in mind, we designed a half-day engagement focused on helping the team build consensus and articulate a unified culture.

Our facilitation design allowed every team member to contribute ideas and challenge each other respectfully. We posed questions to help the team define their team values, clarify what those values mean to them, and how those values translate into observable behaviours.

We wrapped up the session by helping the team create a one-page summary that they can revisit, refine, and hold each other accountable as a team.
